Tillies Turn :)

Today was tillies turn to do her healthy dish. She made A Chicken Stir Fry aswell. Other then her dish looking Great it tasted amazing and didnt taste fatty. The dish has good carbohydrates which were the noodles, It had great nutrients such as the vegies ( carrot, broccoli, onion) The Protein was good and it didnt have any fat on it which i liked (chicken). I think tillies dish was great and healthy and i would eat it everyday because nothing i it is bad for you. I also liked every element in it and she didnt add anything i did not like into it.

My assignment :)

today was my assignment day. I did the same Chicken Stir Fry with vegies. I got to the lesson and got straight into it i new i did a lot better than in the practise lesson. I new what i was doing so i wasn't rushed. My meal had a good balance of protein, carbohydrates, and nutrients. The chicken was my main source of protein, The vegies were my nutrients and the egg noodles and sauce was the carbohydrates. The only thing i think i stuffed up on was my portion size. It was a bit to big for tillie :).

12/10/2011

today was a great learning experience for me and most of the other partner ones. It was a quick rushed time. I started to freak out at the start because i was behind but i caught up :). I chose to make a chicken stir fry with veggies. I started off by looking of the recipe but it took to much time so i started to make it up and remembering what we did last time we made stir fry. I finished but still to late for the time limit. so i had to stay back with everyone else and clean up, i finally got to taste and it actuarially tasted great but i think my noodles needed a little more flavour in the noodles. overall i was happy with my result and i think it was a great choice and was a healthy meal.

Lesson 8

Today was a theory lesson, i chose that I'm partner 1 and found my recipe finally i also gave miss goodchild the ingredients that were not on the list. i have chose to do a chicken stir fry with vegies. I chose this because it is not bad for you it is a healthy chose. also because tillie likes all the ingedents in the recipe. which will benefit be with her evaluation. i am going to go home tonight and practice my meal:) good luck to mee

Lesson 1: potato caslaw

In hospitality today we made potato caslaw i made the potatoes and maritza and kate made the cawslaw. For the potatoes we were told to put them in the microwave for 1-2 minuets so i did that but the were not cooked because we had to double the ingredients so we had to put ours in for 5 minuets instead. The end result was ok but i didnt like the cawslaw to much. This was good for a big meal and a good salad.

Lesson 2: lettuce cups

This lesson we made lettuce cups me and maritza stared of with cooking the turkey mince they took a short amount of time. We then made the dressing wich was chust a mixture of oils. We then placed the mince in the lettuce cup and pored the dressing on. I was not able to eat it but it looked appetising.

Lesson 3: choc chip cookies and parfaits

This lesson i was with maritza, i made the best part the cookies and maritza made the parfais.for the choc chip cookies i had to get flour, sugar and butter then i had to put it in the food proseser. I took it out and rolled up little balls and sprinkled choc chips on the the i put them in the oven And they all got suck together. The after result was mouth watering and the parfaits were very yummy. I thought that they were both good but the parfaits were a much healthier choice.these were good for you but only if you had them sometimes not everyday.

Lesson 4: fried rice

This lesson was really fun and easy i chopped up all the ingredients and placed them on the wok i then put the rice and alot of soy sauce in for the taste. This was delicious and a great healthy choice. It was also a good carbohydrate

Lesson 5: chicken pasta

This lesson we made the pasta tilly made the sauce and i made the pasta. I got the easy part but it took forever to cook because the oven had a gas leek. This was great but it involved alot of creme and that was not good for you if you had it alot.

Lessone 6:beef and brocoli with egg noodles

this was a fun meal to make it and it taught me how to make a good sauce. it was great to do this because i think for my assignment i will be making a chicken stir fry. it was great because it had a balance of fats and nutrition throughout out the meal.

Lesson 7: today i did all my entry diaries for my blog and started to research what food i am cooking for matilda. I think i am going to do a chicken stir fry or a curry.
